The importance of youth empowerment for Nigeria's development and prosperity echoed loudly at the 40th birthday colloquium of Mr. Ayodeji Oluleye, founder of Dfortune Pest Solution, held at the Royal Bird Hotel in Alagbaka, Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Prof. Olugbenga Ige, Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), emphasized the transformative potential of Nigerian youth in driving economic development through entrepreneurial skills. He stressed the need for policies supporting youth entrepreneurship and leadership development, highlighting the intertwined nature of leadership and entrepreneurship.

Speaking through the University Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Olusegun Akinwumi, Prof. Ige articulated, "With hard work and dedication, Nigeria could develop faster and take its rightful position among the comity of nations... Youth empowerment is the key to the development of a nation."

Youth leader and security expert, John Akinmurele, added his voice, underscoring the importance of creating an enabling environment for youth to thrive. He called for youth-friendly policies, grants for young entrepreneurs, and increased youth inclusion in governance.

Mr. Ayodeji Oluleye, the celebrant and convener, expressed his commitment to giving back to society through entrepreneurship and leadership programs. He highlighted past initiatives such as the fumigation of schools and the donation of educational materials, emphasizing his dedication to youth empowerment.

The colloquium saw the presence of dignitaries including the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, and the Commissioner for Justice, Kayode Ajulo, among others. The event served as a platform to urge Oluleye to continue his impactful contributions to society.

In response, Prof. Olugbenga Ige commended Oluleye's vision and urged for continued support for youth empowerment. He emphasized the need for a conducive environment provided by both the government and the society to nurture the talents of Nigerian youth.
