The attention of the National Body of The Pest Control Association of Nigeria ( PECAN) which was duly registered in Nigeria has been drawn to a fake Facebook page opened by a fraudster and a  criminal-minded person by the name Akata Frederick of Akata and Sons Nigeria (Environmental services & waste management consultants ) who is bent on deceiving unsuspecting members of the public through the use of the fake facebook account in the name of the  PEST CONTROL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (PECAN). 

For the avoidance of doubt, we hereby state again that the said "THE PEST CONTROL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (PECAN)" facebook page doesn't belong to the PEST CONTROL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (PECAN) with registered National Headquarters at NUT PAVILION,NO5,NERDC ROAD, ALAUSA, IKEJA, LAGOS,NIGERIA and the person opening such facebook page is not representing PECAN or what PECAN stands for, but engaging in illegal and fraudulent acts for which the long arm of the law will soon catch up with him. 

Consequently, whoever sees such page from the purported PEST CONTROL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (PECAN) should see it as fake and ignore it, while those that are already joining  should immediately unfollow  to avoid further patronage and being swindled.
