A woman, Busola Oyediran, and her partner, Akebiara Emmanuel, have been arraigned before Chief Magistrate B.O. Osunsami of the Samuel Ilori Court, Ogbà, for allegedly torturing Oyediran’s two children in the Egbeda/Idimu area of Lagos State.

It was the neighbours of the couple who saw them subjecting the minors to torture that alerted the police. The police subsequently stormed their home and arrested them on Friday, January 13, 2023.

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, in a statement on Thursday, said the couple were arraigned on January 16, 2023, and the children taken into protective custody.
