World Mosquito Day, commemorated on 20th August each year, serves as a global reminder of the devastating impact mosquitoes have on public health, particularly in tropical regions. In Nigeria, the Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN), in collaboration with the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON), is taking significant strides to combat the mosquito-borne menace. The theme for this year's program is "Fighting the World's Deadliest Killer - The Mosquito," focusing on raising awareness and engaging in mosquito control activities.
