The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has announced its forthcoming unveiling of the Joint Platform for Advancing Cybersecurity in West Africa, scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, in Abuja. This announcement was made on Monday via ECOWAS's official X handle (ecowas_cedeao).

The initiative is designed to bolster regional cyber diplomacy, safeguard critical infrastructure, combat cybercrime, and ensure data sovereignty.

In collaboration with esteemed partners, ECOWAS is hosting this event to mark the official launch of the ECOWAS Action Plan, aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity capabilities and resilience of the region.
