Joseph Aloba, the father of the late rapper, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has provided an explanation for the swift burial of his son.

Mohbad passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day. In a recent Instagram interview with Temilola Sobola, Aloba cited adherence to Yoruba culture as the reason for the quick burial, emphasizing that it is customary not to delay burials when both parents are alive.

He clarified that in Yoruba tradition, it is not customary to keep the deceased's body when both parents are still alive. He also mentioned that the land where Mohbad was buried was the only property he knew his son to own and that they had intended to build a church on it. Mohbad's death at the age of 27 sparked controversies on social media, with reports suggesting that his body might be exhumed to determine the cause of death.
