The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has postponed its 293rd Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting initially scheduled for September 25 and 26, 2023.
Dr. Isa AbdulMumin, the Director of Corporate Communications at CBN, announced this in a statement and mentioned that a new date would be communicated later.
This marks a rare instance of indefinite postponement for the central bank's regular policy meeting. The statement expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the change.
Additionally, CBN announced its plans to hold the 2nd edition of the International Financial Inclusion Conference (IFIC) on October 5th and 6th, 2023. The conference's theme is "Financial Inclusion for All: Global Insights for Local Impact."
