The release of the schoolchildren from Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State, was announced by the Kaduna State Government on Sunday.

Governor Uba Sani confirmed their release in a statement, stating that the government is pleased to announce the release of  Kuriga school children.

The governor clarified that the number of abducted schoolchildren on March 7, 2024, was 137, not the previously reported 287.
