Nigeria secured the second position on the medals table, trailing behind Egypt, with an impressive tally of 47 gold, 33 silver, and 40 bronze medals.

Shortly after the team's return, Minister of Sports Development John Enoh relayed President Bola Tinubu's congratulations to the athletes.

Upon the Team Nigeria delegation's arrival in Abuja yesterday from the 13th African Games in Ghana, the president extended his profound gratitude and congratulations to the athletes, dignitaries, and all involved. He said the team have truly made the nation proud and given the country ample reason to celebrate.

Following the African Games, Nigerian athletes aim to maintain their impressive performance at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics scheduled later this year.
