Workers believed to be employed by the Ministry of Women Affairs were seen jubilating following the dismissal of Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye as minister. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Abubakar Sidiq Usman, the employees were captured dancing and shouting in the corridors of their office, expressing joy over the news.

Chants of "finally" could be heard as the staff celebrated Kennedy-Ohanenye's exit. She was removed from her position on Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu during a cabinet reshuffle.

Kennedy-Ohanenye was one of five ministers dismissed during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. The others included Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism; Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development; Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education; and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.

The video of the celebration has sparked varied reactions on social media, reflecting differing public opinions on the minister’s departure.
