PECAN Issues Urgent Notice to Members: MCDTP Registration Deadline Extended
11/24/2023 06:47 in Pest News

In a recent announcement, the Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN) extended an invitation to member companies to celebrate the organization's achievements at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The pinnacle of the event will be the presentation of the prestigious PECAN 2023 MVP Partners Awards.

However, the National Executive Council of PECAN has raised concerns about members who have not yet registered for the Mandatory Continuous Development Training Program (MCDTP). This program, deemed compulsory for all pest control practitioners in Nigeria, is a pivotal annual development initiative.

Penalties for Non-Participation

PECAN has underscored the obligatory nature of the MCDTP and outlined significant penalties for non-participation. Member companies failing to register for the program will face the following consequences:

  • Non-Renewal of 2024 Membership: Membership for the year 2024 will not be renewed for companies that do not participate in the MCDTP.

  • Withholding of Membership Certificates: The certificate of membership will be withheld from companies in violation of the training program.

  • Non-Publication in National Dailies: The names of non-compliant companies will not be published in national dailies, an annual tradition for PECAN.

  • Risk of Delisting: Companies failing to participate are at risk of total delisting.

For any clarifications or queries regarding the MCDTP or other matters, members are urged to contact Pco. Oluleye Ayodeji, the National Secretary of PECAN, via WhatsApp at 0703 28906271.

This announcement serves as a reminder to all PECAN members to promptly adhere to the extended deadline and avoid the potential repercussions of non-compliance.
